Unlike Pippin, we’re heading off on an UNSERIOUS journey – a leisurely hobbit walking-party around Europe. I’m anticipating some SERIOUS second breakfasts and ales!
I’m trying not to form too much of an idea of Things That Must Be Done, but there are some things I am looking forward to on our Unserious Journey:
- Trying to see a puffin, in the wild. I’m gunna sew some extra puffin-pockets into my clothes. This will help me stash puffins away for the journey back to Australia. I’m looking forward to my future reputation as the Crazy Puffin Lady. Rob is less happy about this, but he’ll learn to love it.
- Der Kuss! Apparently its shininess is something that must be seen in real life.
- Experiencing days with no true night. We might be sleep-deprived but we’ll be safe from vampires! This is reassuring.
- Visiting Herbie, the sentient anthropomorphic Volkswagen Beetle. I’m gunna have to sew some Beetle-pockets into my clothes as well…
